Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is the medical branch that basically concerns with diagnosis, conservative treatment and rehabilitation of the motion system diseases, also applying rehabilitation in inpatient or outpatient services in order to increase the present capacity to highest level of the people with physiologic or anatomic insufficiency due to congenital or acquired disease, to reduce their dependencies and to increase quality of lives. Within this scope; it is concerned with the primary or complementary treatment of all rheumatic, neurologic, orthopedics, cardiovascular and algological diseases that cause pain, loss of function and disruption of quality of life by using physical medicine modalities, medical and manipulative treatments in patients at all ages.
